The EB-1230 can also offer solutions for a variety of industrial and commercial applications such as panel PC, POS, kiosk, and many others.
The EB-1230 is a 3.5" mini board built-in with VIA Eden Low Power CPU at speed of 667 / 800MHz, VGA, Sound, LAN and other enhanced I/O interfaces. It is designed for systems required compact board controllers with multi-functions. Its VGA function (up to 32MB shared memory) is built-in VIA VT8606 chip (Code: Twister) to simultaneously display both CRT monitor and 36-bit LVDS LCD panel. Together with the VGA function, EB-1230 is also equipped with VIA VT1612A AC '97 Codec sound chip providing stereo full duplex multimedia environment to achieve conferencing and communication. All these features help the EB-1230 to perform the best quality of graphic image, animation and sound.
The EB-1230 also provides solutions for networking systems. It is built with Realtek 8100BL to support 10/100 Base TX fast Ethernet and Wake-On-LAN function. It has one 144-pin SO-DIMM socket supporting up to 128MB DRAM, and one innovative Compact Flash socket allowing users to set as a boot-up drive with lower cost and more size of memories compared to the limitation via Disk-On-Chip. Other than these, the EB-1230 also has one enhanced EIDE (UDMA33/66/100), one FDD interface, two serial ports, one parallel port, one IrDA port, and two USB ports to provide multi-functions concurrence with networking operation.
