| New Year, New Beginning and A NEW LOOK |

Taipei, Taiwan- Thanks to you all- our customers, partners, employees, and friends
around the world. 2004 was the successful year of Protech Systems. In year 2004,
our R&D teams had an outstanding performance, for example, at beginning of 2004,
three of our products were the winner of "Taiwan Symbol of Excellence". And we
keep our strength and developed a series of Intel® Pentium® M products
and also launched the newest PCI half size card and 5.25" embedded board based
on Intel® Celeron® M processor. Besides, we also create a brand new product,
EPC-1230, to fulfill industry automation needs, and EPC-4010 to satisfy the market
demand, which is closer to consumer needs.
In order to satisfy our customer needs and achieve "one-stop shopping", we create
several new product lines to enhance our services. For example, for Industrial
Computer Group, there have "Industrial
CPU boards" which include full size card, half size card, embedded
board and PC/104 products, "Industrial wall/rack
mount system", which provide wall mount and rack mount chassis,
"Industrial communication products"
which offer RS232 PCI communication cards, RS422/485 PCI communication cards,
etc. "Applied computer" which have
book size PCs and Micro PCs inside. And "Panel PC" which includes 10.4", 12.1",
15" and 17" panel PCs. And for Point of Sales Group,
we provide "POS Terminal", "POS
PCs" and "POS Accessories"
to fulfill market demands.
According to our products are getting mature and various, from this year we decide to change our product name from "Prox" to functional identification. For example, full size card will begin with "PSB" which means Protech single board, half size card will begin with "PCI" or "ISA" which depends on PCI standard or ISA standard. 5.25" embedded board will begin with "LB" which means little board. 3.5" embedded board will begin with "EB" which is embedded board, and industrial motherboard will begin with "PMB" that is stand for Protech motherboard. For industrial wall/rack mount systems, the product name will begin with "PCH" which is Protech chassis. For applied computer, micro PC will name as "ECP" which means embedded PC, and book size PC will name as "BPC". Finally, panel PC of course will be named as "PPC".
Many of you may consider of the misunderstanding of product names and the related certificates, and reports. For that, we still keep the "Prox" as our model name as well, and those CE, FCC regulations, still can keep using. If there is any thing |
